Curated Collection

Properties

A curated collection of restored Akiya homes across Japan's most beautiful rural regions.

Niigata Prefecture

Yuki-no-Ma雪の間

A 200-year-old home buried in the snowfields of Niigata. Irori hearth, hand-hewn beams, and a silence that only winter can produce.

Kyoto Mountains

Nestled in the cedar forests above Kyoto, this intimate machiya-style home wakes each morning wrapped in mountain mist.

Nagano Alps

A sprawling gassho-zukuri home in the Japanese Alps. No light pollution. No noise. Just the Milky Way arching over ancient thatch.

Noto Peninsula

A restored fisherman's house on the rugged Noto coastline. The Sea of Japan fills every window. Mornings smell of salt and cedar.

Kyoto Region

Hidden behind a bamboo grove on the outskirts of Kyoto, this former tea master's home has been restored to its original meditative simplicity.

Nagano Alps

The largest home in our collection — a grand akiya that once housed three generations. Now it holds space for gatherings, retreats, and slow time.
