The Story of This Home
The largest home in our collection — a grand akiya that once housed three generations of the Tanaka family, who farmed the surrounding valley for over 150 years. When the last family member passed in 2019, the home was donated to the local village. We partnered with the village to restore it as a space for gatherings, retreats, and slow time.
